Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shuk mobile application and web services ("Service") provided by Shuk. By downloading, accessing, or using Shuk, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

Shuk grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial culinary and recipe management purposes.

2. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all recipes, personal notes, and media you create or upload. You are solely responsible for ensuring that content you import or share does not infringe on third-party copyrights or privacy rights.

3. Subscriptions & Free Trials (Shuk Pro)

Subscription Terms:

Auto-Renewal: Shuk Pro is billed on a recurring subscription basis (Annual or Monthly). Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
7-Day Free Trial: If offered, your subscription begins with a free trial period. You will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours prior to the end of the trial period.
Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancel Anytime: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device account settings (iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions).
Refunds: Refund requests are governed by Apple Media Services Terms and Google Play policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to abuse, reverse-engineer, disrupt the service infrastructure, or use automated scraping tools to bypass quotas or import limits.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Shuk provides cooking guides and timer assistance, but cooking safety and allergen awareness remain the sole responsibility of the user.
